In order to reduce the possibility of contamination from outside sources, Clinical Staff and Medical Staff Members will adhere to the center’s guidelines for surgical attire. You must change into surgical scrubs before entering into critical areas of the ASC. Scrubs and linens must be provided by an authorized linen company.

Biohazardous Waste Room
Biohazardous Waste Room is needed to store all your biohazardous waste. The door must remain locked at all times. The door must have a positive latch which is a mechanism that the door closes automatically.

Sharps Containers
Sharps waste is a form of biomedical waste composed of used "sharps", which includes any device or object used to puncture or lacerate the skin. Sharps waste is classified as biohazardous waste and must be carefully handled. Make sure you know the frequency of biohazardous pickup at your ASC.

Refrigerator Temperature Monitoring
You must demonstrate that you are continuously monitoring your refrigerator temperature. Even when your ASC is closed. Daily recording of refrigerator temperature is mandatory.
